We invite the adventurous and creative to take a photo or a video which captures the spirit of David’s Old Silver Swim, David’s uniqueness and resiliency, and/or your personal relationship with David. Here are some suggestions:
- Do a half mile or mile swim and take a photo. Record your time if you are so inclined. Or just take a victory lap around the kiddie pool; whatever you want so long as it is water related. Have fun with this!
- Get creative with David’s Swim paraphernalia—Rubber Duckies, David’s Swim bathing caps, tee shirts, tote bags, etc. Compose a still life or integrate these items into an activity—swimming, brushing your teeth, brushing your buddies’ teeth, taking a bath, whatever strikes your fancy.
- Mementos which capture your relationship with David or how you see David—as friend, relative, patient, or admirer. Let your inspiration flow.
We encourage you to record a video or write a note to David as well. Hearing a voice or reading a friend’s message is so meaningful, particularly in this time of social isolation.
With your permission, we would like to take some of those photos/videos/messages and post them on our David’s Old Silver Swim website as well as social media platforms. Send your photos to firstname.lastname@example.org.
